Worcester County, MA’s St. Patrick’s Day parade dates back many years!.

When:

The St. Patrick's Day Parade should be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, starting at 12 pm. See the  Worcester County St Patrick's Day parade's website  for updates.

The Parade will travel along Park Avenue.

More about the parade:

The parade kicks off at noon, from the corner of Park Ave and Mill St. It usually runs 1.5 - 2 hours. There will be floats, bands, color guards, clowns and boosters of Irish heritage, such as firefighters, teamsters, children, beauty queens, elected officials and revelers.

The busiest area is Park Ave between Chandler - Highland Street, due to the bars and restaurants, as well as the reviewing stand located near Elm Park. The least-busy area is the stretch of Park Ave between Lovell and Maywood St.

The parade is providing portable restrooms in the following locations: the staging area at Park/Mill; Advanced Auto Parts; Webster Square Tire; Early's Auto; CVS; Martin Tire; Walgreens; Country Bank; Berkshire Bank; TD Bank

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow. And of course, it is traditional to be dressed in GREEN (or orange or white - colors of the Irish flag)!

Transportation and Parking

Mass transit is a great way to get in and out to see the parade. A shuttle will run from the Doherty HS parking lot, every 10 minutes or so between 10 AM and 3 PM - bringing parade participants back to the start of the parade.
