St. Augustine’s St. Patrick’s Day parade information: The parade claims to be the oldest, dating back to 1601.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade should be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10 am to 11:30 am. See their website for latest updates. They could have changed or cancelled it after we last updated this page.

The St. Patrick's Day parade celebrates St. Augustine's Celtic heritage with parade floats, marching bands, horses and dance troupes. A spectacle of floats, marching bands, pipes and drums, horse-drawn carriages, military units and local community groups, the St. Augustine St. Patrick's Day Parade is the only St. Patrick's Day Parade in Northeast Florida. What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow. And of course, it is traditional to be dressed in GREEN (or orange or white - colors of the Irish flag)!

Mass transit is a great way to get in and out to see the parade.

Parking and Transportation

Parking is available at the downtown parking facility right next to Francis Field.

Additionally, the City of St. Augustine will operate a Free Park and Ride Shuttle Service on Saturdays during spring festival season. The service runs from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday. The shuttle service picks up every 20 minutes from two parking locations north of downtown:

• St. Johns County Health Department, 200 San Sebastian View
• San Marco Lot, 301 San Marco Avenue

The shuttle will drop off at the Historic Downtown Parking Facility, which is located next to Francis Field, where the Celtic Music and Heritage Festival will be held.
