Albany, NY’s St. Patrick’s Day parade dates back to 1951.


The Albany, NY Saint Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm EST. For more information, please visit the Albany St Patrick's Day Parade website. The Parade will travel from Quail Street and Central Avenue to Washington Street, to State Street, turn at City Hall and end at Pearl Street.

Who is in the parade:

The parade now includes representatives from Albany, NY's Irish groups including:

  • Irish pipers,
  • step dancers and
  • organizations

According to their website,

A mass will be held at 9am at Blessed Sacrament Church on Central Avenue before the parade congregates. The parade will step off at 2pm.

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow.
