When:

The St. Patrick's Day Parade should be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, starting at 12 pm. See the parade's website here for the latest updates.

Where:

The Parade starts on Park Place East (adjacent to East Montague Avenue and across from the Park Circle Community Center) at 12:00 noon. The parade route will proceed down East Montague Avenue through the block party location to Virginia Avenue.

The Patrick's Day Block Party and Parade kicks off with a parade. . The annual North Charleston St. Patrick's Day Block Party from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Park Place East. There will be food trucks, a kids zone, and live music at multiple stages.

2024 was he 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade, the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Lowcountry, The celebration has live music, street vending and fare from Olde North Charleston restaurants, a Kid’s Zone, and more. The party, parade and parking are free to the public. This event is presented by the Park Circle Business Collective with support from the City of North Charleston.

East Montague will close between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue at 9:00am for set up and remain closed until 7:00 pm. Additional closures will occur on Chateau Avenue, O’Hear Avenue, Empire avenue and Colie Morse Way. East Montague Avenue between Park Place East and Jenkins Avenue will close at 11:30am and stay closed for the duration of the parade.

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow. And of course, it is traditional to be dressed in GREEN (or orange or white – colors of the Irish flag)!

Transportation and Parking

Mass transit is a great way to get in and out to see the parade. Parking is very limited, please carpool or rideshare and utilize care when parking in adjacent neighborhoods. Designated disabled parking is located at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Empire Avenue. Cars left in the block party area overnight on Friday, March 8, will be towed.
