Charleston, SC’s St. Patrick’s Day parade dates back to 1996..

When:

The St. Patrick's Day Parade should be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM starts at King and Radcliffe Streets. starting at 10 am, going to 1 pm. See the parade's website here for the latest updates.

The Parade will travel along King Street and Radcliffe Streets in downtown Charleston.

 According to their website, the

Charleston, South Carolina's St. Patrick's Day parade will feature fire trucks, military vehicles, marching bands, dancers, and Charleston's Irish step dancers.
The parade begins at 10am on St. Patrick’s Day, 16 March, at St. Patrick’s Church at the corner of Radcliffe and St. Phillip Streets. But the best place to view it is from the sidewalks of King Street. It turns right onto King and proceeds south towards Broad, where it turns right, and finishes at the Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
Be advised that parts of Radcliffe, King, and parts of Broad Street will be closed from about 9am, so please plan accordingly.

On Saturday March 16th, 2024, a celebratory Mass will be held at 8:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church.

The Parade proceeds down King to Broad with the conclusion at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow. And of course, it is traditional to be dressed in GREEN (or orange or white – colors of the Irish flag)!

Transportation and Parking

Mass transit is a great way to get in and out to see the parade.
