The parade is not just an “Irish thing”. According to their website, the parade


The Village of Pinehurst will flood the streets with Irish spirit during the annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Festive parade entries & Irish cheer are in store for those who attend! 
It is free to participate in the parade: entries are being accepted from non-profits, businesses, civic groups, churches and families. Parade entry forms are available now through Friday, February 23! Please note that the parade now lines up by entry type - all walkers lead the parade, followed by golf carts, and ending with all vehicles. We do not mix entry types but we do allow for multiple entries.

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow. And of course, it is traditional to be dressed in GREEN (or orange or white - colors of the Irish flag)!

Transportation and Parking

Golf cart parking will be available in the pine straw behind Tufts Memorial Park. Cars can park in the sand lot downtown or in any designated spots outside the barricades. Please do not park on private property. .

Pinehurst has held a St. Patrick's Day parade and festival for the past 24 years. However, the pandemic over the past 2 years forced cancellation of all activities, and other circumstances resulted in the cancellation of the 2022 parade. It resumed in 2023.
