The St. Patrick's Day Parade should be held every year on the Sunday following St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday March 17, 2024 at 11:10am.

Where:

The Parade will travel North on Northampton Street to Beech Street; East on Beech Street to Appleton Street; Southeast on Appleton Street to High Street; North on High Street to Hampden Street.

According to their website, the Holyoke, MA parade

Travels from Kmart Plaza on Rt. 5 – Northampton Street and ends on High Street. Road closures typically begin around about an hour prior, so we recommend planning ahead and arriving with enough time to get to your location for viewing. Interstate 91 exits 15 and 16 are controlled by the Massachusetts State Police and are closed as conditions require.

What began as a humble celebration so many years ago has grown into a major series of events that culminates with New England’s preeminent Saint Patrick’s celebration.

This is the area’s best homecoming celebration: Kickoff St. Patrick’s Day weekend at the 47th Annual St. Patrick’s 10k Road Race on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, followed by the 71st Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade on March 17th

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow. And of course, it is traditional to be dressed in GREEN (or orange or white – colors of the Irish flag)!

Transportation and Parking

Mass transit is a great way to get in and out to see the parade. There is parking available in the municipal lots downtown on Suffolk and Dwight streets for a flat rate of $5 a day. Parking lots are near the City Hall.
