Louisville, KY’s St. Patrick’s Day parade dates back 51 years .

When:

The St. Patrick's Day Parade should be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, starting at 3 pm, running to 6 pm. See the parade's website here for the latest updates.

Where:

The Parade takes place on Baxter and Bardstown Roads. It goes from the intersection of Broadway and Baxter Avenue and travels down Bardstown Road to Windor Place

The Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians
A beloved annual event in Louisville, Kentucky USA! Over "100" entries!  Road closures start at noon and reopen after the Parade has cleared all the streets.
ALL are welcome to join in the fun!

What to bring

If it is a cold day, bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. The parade goes on rain, shine or snow. And of course, it is traditional to be dressed in GREEN (or orange or white – colors of the Irish flag)!

Transportation and Parking

Mass transit is a great way to get in and out to see the parade.
